George celebrated his 70th Birthday at the Players in Grammercy Park, New York City, with friends from several circles of his life: family, authors he had interviewed for the Commonwealth Club, lawyers and clients he had worked with, and meditation teachers he had met working for a non-profit in the early 1970s.
